"New Religion” is a body of work underscoring the historical influence and relationship religion has had on the arts. Over time, as religions move in and out of favor within a society they leave behind evidence of their influence.  Religious iconography or adornments from one belief system can be plastered over our physical environments and either destroyed or ignored. In this series, each piece incorporates layering and peeling to explore the passage of time, and how something that is precious and sacred can be lost as values change.
